In 1964 a young emigre couple, from the beautiful coastal city of Dubrovnik and the Island of Korcula, opened the doors to the Balkan Continental Restaurant for the very first time on Sydney's iconic Oxford Street. They combined their traditional Croatian recipes with the fresh seafood and locally grown produce, found in abundance in their new home.

In 2012 the restaurant relocated to the now thriving Crown St and reopened its doors as The Balkan Seafood Restaurant. The family still manage the restaurant supported by their loyal team and provide the same great food and service in the new vibrant location. If you take a moment to observe your surroundings on your visit you will see cathedral ceilings, pictures of Dubrovnik and Korcula adorning the walls and sense that you are somewhere special.
