Barristers Block Cellar Door

The Barristers Block name was made in 2004 by Jan Siemelink-Allen together with her two children James and Lachlan, and her husband other Evert-Jan. Jan spent her 20 years in wine industry, from managing Cellar Door outlets in the Coonawarra, then spend 5 years in managing South Australian sales for two leading Australian wine companies, before leaving in September, 2004 to create and market her own label.


The Barrister Block manufacture almost 7,500 cases of wine per year and have taken a very delicate and deliberate approach to growth. We believe in producing quality rather than quantity and are continually searching for approaches to enhance our products.


Barrister Block Wines Cellar Door is located in the sensational Adelaide Hills only 25 minutes travel from Adelaide CBD. Ringed by magnificent vineyards and impressive trees, the lush lawns and picturesque lake provide a wonderful setting for wedding and ceremony. Our rustic Hayshed is the ideal spot for receptions be it sit down or a more casual affair and can cater for little affectionate gatherings of 30 to huge functions of up to 180 guests.
