Mario was born in Naples, Italy, in 1967. The authentic Pizza of Naples, is the true Italian Pizza Mario cooks for us today. When still a child his family moved to Rome. He became a chef during the ten years he spent working in Rome, after which he worked as a chef in Miami, USA and New Zealand.
Mario is also a qualified pasty chef.

On arriving in Australia seven years ago he traveled around Australia for a year and then settled in Melbourne, before moving to Mt. Tamborine. Belvedere Restaurant On Main is the 5th restaurant he has leased in Australia. He is married to his beautiful Japanese wife, Yoshie, and they have a daughter, Michelle.
