Our company is owned and operated by Richard van den Broek, a qualified builder who has lived in Blue Mountains for over 20 years. His formal qualifications include a Carpentry Trade Certificate, Certificate 1V in Residential Construction, a Bachelor of Economics (Sydney University) and a Graduate Diploma of Management (Macquarie University).

Richard is an accredited HIA Greensmart Professional. GreenSmart was established by HIA in 1999 to promote practical, affordable and durable environmental solutions for residential design and construction. The benefits of building a GreenSmart house include lower energy and water bills, a warmer house in winter, a cooler house in summer, a healthier home for occupants with less waste going to landfill.

Richard is committed to providing excellent customer service and is approachable, respectful and informative, providing high quality workmanship and on-time delivery of jobs. He personally handles the quote, design and council application process as well as the hands-on building and site supervision.

Richard has a good working relationship with both the Blue Mountains City Council and Penrith Council and possesses in-depth knowledge of council approval processes, time frames and relevant codes and restrictions for your building project.

As a resident of the Blue Mountains, Richard supports the training of apprentices at the local level through accredited providers. He also employs local sub-contractors and suppliers where possible.

The geographical area covered is not limited to the Blue Mountains although the majority of our jobs are between Lapstone and Blackheath. We also cover the Richmond area and have completed jobs in Sydney in Coogee, Bondi, Gladesville, Hornsby and Lane Cove.
