Cucinetta Woolwich Italian Cucina First opended it’s doors in 2006. Vincenzo started cooking at a very young age along beside his beloved Grand Mother Elisabetta teaching him the arts of southern cookery. As Vincenzo grew older he then began his professional career at the age of 13 learning the importance of fresh produce at the the local fruit shop. Working in a restaurant after school on weekends along side his chef cousin, it was there that he felt he had the passion to be a professional chef. Starting his apprenticeship at the age of 16 he worked his way through gaining as much experience to make his dream to open a restaurant come true. By the age of 23 an opportunity was given and that’s when it all became reality. Vincenzo’s culinary success came from pure passion, love and dedication for food.

Giovanni was involved in hospitality from such a young age of 10. Serving food in lipari South of Italy at his uncle’s restaurant. It was there that he learn’t the art to have that Italian flair. Giovanni had an opportunity to play the guitar at a local bar or come to Sydney for a holiday, He loved it here in Australia and decided to migrate. He then found a job where we both first met, it was there that our working relationship sparked a success!

Our philosophy is Italian Regional Food, house made fresh egg pasta, traditional cooking techniques and the freshest of produce available. Vincenzo air freight’s all his cheeses from Italy, He sources all the fruit and vegetables from the best providers in Australia and from his father Francesco’s organic garden. Vincenzo works closely with the best Seafood suppliers to provide the freshest of seafood delivered daily. Our meat comes from a hormone and stress free environments. To match the food Giovanni’s warm Italian Service and great people to be around. To add to that we forgot to mention the spectacular back drop, creating an intimate dining experience filled with warmth and elegance. The Restaurant is sophisticated yet maintains a relaxed and inviting atmosphere with sweeping panoramic views of Sydney harbour and city skyline.
