Often, people will say "just looking". But when they start getting specific –"I need 30th birthday ideas", "What would work with this dress?" or "I need something to complete a newly decorated room" – that's when my fun begins. There are so many pieces in the shop, but having hand selected all the stock, I can usually point out something that customers might have missed. It's so satisfying to see people leave with a beautifully wrapped gift that's just a little bit different.

I'm happy travelling far and wide to find stand-out pieces that have an element of the unexpected about them. With 11 years in the business, and a background in interior design, I like to think that I'm able to bring a little bit of the city to the country.

Ordering small amounts from a huge range of suppliers means there is always stock arriving, so regular customers know that whenever they pop in they will find something new.
