Dr Cunneen is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon with an interest in Aesthetic/Cosmetic surgery, Head and Neck surgery and Craniofacial surgery. Dr Cunneen also has consultant positions at Royal Perth Hospital and Sir Charles Gardner Hospital.
Dr Cunneen graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1998 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). After working at Royal Perth Hospital for 2 years he undertook basic surgical training in the United Kingdom becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2003.
On return to Australia Dr Cunneen was selected for advanced training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, gaining the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons FRACS (plastic and reconstructive surgery) in 2010.
2 years were then spent training for the diploma in Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery with 1 year at the Australian Craniofacial Unit and 1 year in Wellington at the regional centre for Head and Neck cancer and Craniofacial Surgery.
Dr Cunneen also spent 1 year working at the prestigious Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, UK, gaining valuable experience with lower limb reconstruction and complex aesthetic surgery.
