The beginning of Holiday Pet and Home Care services was born through my love for animals and the lack of pet care options when I started travelling. I was concerned about engaging with a novice or hobby sitter who couldn't provide a police clearance check - after all, they would be coming into my home when I wasn’t there.

I was also looking for a person who provided more than just a daily feed and fresh water. I was looking for a carer who would take the time to understand the needs of dogs and other animals and who would genuinely enjoy learning about their different personalities - their likes & dislikes, what caused them stress and especially, what would help them feel happy and content whilst their owners were away.
Because I couldn’t find anyone who would offer such professional and personalised service, I decided to start “Holiday Pet and Home Care” myself.

Furthermore, I was encouraged to proceed with my business idea by my mother-in-law (owner of 2 dogs, a cat and a bird) who had the same problems and issues every time she wanted to travel. My market research showed the same results: a caring, personalised and professional pet and home care service was needed!

Next to being an animal owner and lover since my early childhood, I have gained extensive experience and knowledge over many years working with animals. I have been a carer with WIRES (The NSW Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service Inc) for many years, caring for native wildlife and had a husbandry for many native, exotic and companion animals since the age of 13. In my early 20s, I completed the studies of Animal Husbandry, the design of natural habitats in captivity, with distinction.

My passion for animals has been demonstrated in many aspects of my life. Strong business management experience and my extensive experience in the security industry will also ensure the service we provide not only for your pets, but also for your home is highly professional and reliable.
