Dr Jake Lim is a fully qualified Sydney trained Plastic Surgeon specialising in cosmetic surgery procedures. Dr Lim is currently a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). The letters FRACS are an indication of successful completion of specialist surgery training and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons is the only statutory recognised body for training surgeons in Australia.

After completing five years of medical training at The University of Sydney and following his passion for surgery, Dr Lim embarked on a further 15 years of general and plastic surgery training before being awarded his FRACS (plastics) under the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. At the completion of his plastic surgery training, Dr Lim visited centres in the United Kingdom and Europe to further his interest and knowledge in cosmetic surgery.

Dr Lim takes an active role in educating and training future plastic surgeons in one of Sydney's major teaching hospitals. This work involves the use of microsurgery and other reconstructive techniques to restore a patient to normality following trauma or disease. This background of reconstructive surgery is an important foundation for Dr Lim's expertise in cosmetic surgery. Dr Lim's involvement in the area of breast reconstruction following breast cancer is a role he finds particularly rewarding.
