About Josef Chromy Cellar Door Cafe
The Josef Chromy Cellar Door Restaurant and Winery is located at Relbia, 10 minutes from the Launceston Airport and 15 minutes from Launceston CBD in northern Tasmania.
Josef Chromy Wines’ 61-hectare (150 acre) vineyard produces a number of varieties of highly sought-after grapes. Wines include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer. Also including vintage sparkling and Botrytis Riesling, and everything is estate-grown.

Joe has been instrumental in the development of the wine industry in Tasmania and has one of the most remarkable life stories. You’ll still find Joe out inspecting the vineyard and working with the winemaking team, as he believes this is the best way to keep tabs on what is happening in the business.
Joe prides himself on building the best possible team around him. He has fostered a close knit team and tries to instil a sense of ownership in his employees. In turn they strive to be part of Joe’s vision to create wine, food and an experience of exceptional quality.
