LH&G is a family-run business started by husband and wife team James and Kim Lucas in 2005. The idea was to turn decades of industry experience into a business which held customer satisfaction as the highest priority. From humble beginnings the enterprise has blossomed into a successful business with 13 dedicated design, construction, and plant experts. Everything we do is done with quality and sustainability in mind.

James is the company manager and senior landscape designer. James’s horticultural career began in the 90’s working in several landscape companies. He completed his Diploma of Horticulture in 2002 at NMIT Greensborough. James experience also includes three years working at Poynton’s Nursery in Essendon and work at garden maintenance and landscape firms thereafter.

Our plant, garden, and design experts are dedicated to providing you with the highest level of professionalism available in the industry. We achieve this by ensuring our team have recognised qualifications and years of experience. For instance; 70% of our staff have level 3 or higher certificates in horticulture. Our skills in the garden are complimented by a strong work ethic and friendly approach to landscaping and gardening.
