RAC or The Royal Automotive Club was formed by a small group of enthusiastic car owners in 1905.

We've come a long way since then. With more than 800,000 members, we're now a vital part of Western Australian life.

As the independent voice for road users in WA, we're concerned with all aspects of road and community safety. We also offer motoring services and advice, insurance, travel services, finance, driver training and exclusive benefits for our members.

The RAC Group comprises the Royal Automobile Club of WA (Incorporated), RAC Insurance Pty Limited, RAC Travel Services Pty Ltd, RAC Finance Ltd and RAC Security Services Pty Ltd.

In 1905 the RAC was formed and we've come a long way since then. The RAC is a unique organisation - we are a true Western Australian story, built by members for members.

As a member based organisation and a mutual serving more than 800,000 members, we've been proudly reinvesting our profits in WA for over a century, and your voice has always been at the centre of it.

With your help, we've lobbied to fix some of WA's riskiest roads, we run the biggest student road safety event in the State every year, and we've helped achieve a $240 million increase in road safety funding for WA.

But the job is never done.

We are proud of our past, but it's time to look forward also. To renew and strengthen our commitment to our members and the services and products we provide.

While you will instantly notice changes to the way we look, you will also see us being more active on the issues that matter as we strive to make WA a better place. With a commitment to excellent service and doing what's right, our renewed focus will be on our members, our community and our WA.

Our relationship with our members is much more than a just a transaction. From the very beginning, we have always had our members at the heart of the RAC, and this is not changing.

We recognise we have a huge responsibility in not only protecting the interests of our members, but also enhancing their way of life. We are focussed on doing this every day - and we are focussed on doing it for the better.
