Our business was originally established in November 1986 as an electrical contracting and security equipment installation business with the trading name Tolman Services.

As a privately owned and operated family company Security Services Tasmania Pty Ltd currently trades as:

SDS Fire & Electrical - electrical contracting licenced – providing service for domestic, commercial and industrial sites, A grade electricians.

SDS Security & Data Systems - electronic security equipment sales, service and installations, telecommunications technicians.

SDS Gates & Fencing - purpose building heavy industry access gates and installation agents for Gallagher Power Fencing.

SDS Building Services - earthworks and excavation, equipment hire, property development projects.

SDS has been providing systems and maintenance in regional and remote locations across Australia for over 28 years.

For many years now SDS has been actively assisting Appin Hall Children’s Foundation a community based organisation and respite centre for children and their families Australia-wide. It is with a sense of pride that we have created opportunities by which we can serve in the wider community. In this way, we have ensured our intentions and capability reach disadvantaged youth – along with extending our successes to others so that they will benefit from a helping hand.
