SSE has been a successful participant in the infrstructure maintenance industry for over thirty years. At its foundation is the high level expertise and skill of the former RPC Roads business.
RPC Roads was a highly successful and respected participant in the Infrastructure Maintenance and Construction sector up to the time of its sale to Downer EDI Works in 2003.
RPC Roads was the first private contractor to be awarded routine infrastructure maintenance contracts in both Victoria and South Australia. RPC was a significant participant in VicRoads and DTEI SA contracts since 1995, and continues to be so through Downer EDI Works. RPC Roads maintained over 27,000km of major roads and highways over the two states.
