Solitary enjoys one of the most fortunate sites in all the Mountains; its dining room and garden offer the most magnificent views imaginable, overlooking Mount Solitary, Kings Tableland, and the Jamison Valley all the way to the Southern Highlands. The building is heritage listed; a characteristically slate hipped-roofed, weatherboard Blue Mountains cottage set in a garden.

The interior can, perhaps, be best described as light, airy, quietly sophisticated and tranquil, while respecting the history of the building.

You can hold your wedding ceremony on the lawn at Solitary. It removes much of the fuss regarding the use of two venues, and you won’t find a view much better than ours. Champagne and canapé can then be served on the lawn immediately following the ceremony…..so your guests are being looked after while you take advantage of the spectacular views for your wedding photographs.

Our menu is based on the freshest seasonal produce available and consequently changes often.
