T & J was formed in April 1987 to cater for the much needed service and maintenance of commercial and domestic refrigeration and air-conditioning within the Tennant Creek and Barkly Region.

Based in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory, the Business specialises in sales, installation, maintenance and service of a comprehensive range of commercial and domestic air-conditioning, and refrigeration. In 2000 the business expanded into the commercial electrical field and is now a leading force providing these services throughout the Barkly region.

In 2010 the business branched into general building works and now employs carpenters. The business is currently constructing a house in the new estate in Tennant Creek. We also undertake repairs and maintenance for various housing assets for Haden, Gecko MMS, Jones Lang La Salle and private investors.

With its emphasis on quality equipment and proficient service, the Business has quickly grown to assume a leading role within its fields throughout the Barkly Region.

The Business services the Barkly Region which is an area of 250,000 square kilometres. Turnover has increased each year and the business now employs over twenty staff and has a reliable fleet of 4WD service vehicles, trucks, Bucket Truck (EPV) and other plant and equipment including a Positrak/trencher, scissor lift and forklift.

The business is conducted through a proprietary limited company, Far Northern Contractors Pty Ltd (ACN 007 858 684). The company is jointly owned by Antonio (Tony) and Jean Civitarese
