The roots of The Australian Academy of Cinemagraphic Makeup go back over 20 years when passionate makeup artists and educators came together to create a unique training institution.
Since opening out doors in 2009, we have established ourselves as one of the leading private academies, with a focus on educating students in the craft of special effects makeup to succeed in the exciting and fast-moving film and television makeup industry.
At AACM, we pride ourselves on our high standards and quality education.
We not only focus on the needs of our industry for highly skilled and specialized makeup artists, but also support all our students on their journey to a successful career.
Our staff and trainers are incredibly passionate about the makeup industry and have worked on high-profile films and projects.It is with this background and their enthusiasm for the industry that they can now pass their knowledge on to our students.
AACM graduates are highly recommended and sourced, and have gone on to have successful careers in TV, blockbuster movies, independent short films, cosmetics, prosthetic workshops, art departments, beauty blogging and as Instagram makeup artists!
More recently, our students have won the IMATS Prosthetics and Fashion&Beauty divisions (2016), 2nd place in IMATS Prosthetics (2017) and IMATS Fashion and Beauty (2014).
