The Workers Balmain is the best kind of history lesson. A booze-filled history lesson with a side of Mexican food, featuring a beer-sculling former Prime Minister. But trust us and explore a little further – you’ll uncover the real worker's heart of this establishment. In the back rooms there are dark wooden shutters, fireplaces, leather Chesterfields and more framed black-and-white photos of Bob Hawke, local girl Dawn Fraser and Laurie Nichols than you can poke a Labor pamphlet at.
