The Timber Merchants Association in Blackburn has been involved in many issues on behalf of its members, promotion of timber, pricing, industrial affairs over the last 126 years. The issues have changed through the years, even though the role of looking after the needs of our members has not.

Currently, The Timber Merchants Industry is working in conjunction with a number of industry bodies in representing the industry to government bodies on such issues as Chain of custody and Certification for timber. Life cycle assessment and Green Star building regulations as part of the wider communities concern with sustainable timber products and building practices.
