Vidler Ave Skin Cancer Center commenced treating skin cancer patients on 13 August 2007. With the large elderly population and high prevalence of skin cancers on the Woy Woy Peninsula, there was a great need for a centre specialising in the treatment of skin cancers . Central Coast patients can now be treated locally for the majority of skin cancers .
Dr John Caska has been in practice in the Woy Woy area for over 42 years & has had extensive experience in all facets of General Practice. He has been treating skin cancers over all this period. Over the last few years he has concentrated his practice on Skin Cancers and performs both the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers.

Where appropriate patients are referred for Specialist treatment for their skin cancers. This can mostly be performed by Specialists on the Central Coast with whom we work closely. The Practice is also serviced by other Doctors to give as good and efficient service as possible to the people of the Central Coast and especially for patients on the Woy Woy Peninsula.

A continuous Quality Assurance Audit is conducted to monitor the diagnostic performance of Practice Doctors. Results so far show that positive diagnosis rates for finding skin cancers on patients who have procedures performed is at a very high level when compared with National Statistics. This confirms the competence & skills of the Doctors at our Centre.
