At Wellness From Within the aim of counselling is to empower you by assisting you in overcoming your struggle with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, etc. This is achieved through gaining a deeper awareness and understanding of yourself and by developing life skills that will give you the ability to think and behave in ways that will create a happier and more fulfilling life, with lasting positive changes. Life skills can make all the difference. Developing and learning how to use these life skills can put you ahead of many other people. Unfortunately many important life skills are not taught to us while we are growing up. Being well equipped to deal with challenging experiences will prevent you from going through unnecessary pain in the future. I will engage with you in a way that feels safe, supportive and non-threatening. The session will always be focused on your needs at that time. I will draw on many psychotherapy models. You become the expert in your own healing journey while you are compassionately and respectfully supported as you explore, work through and resolve past and present difficult or challenging issues. This will lead you to a more conscious, empowered and enriched life experience. As well as counselling I also use a technique called the Emotional Freedom Technique, which is well recognised and has been around for many years. It is a bit like having acupuncture without the needles. It involves tapping on the acupuncture points with your fingers which helps to release emotional blocks from past traumas, so that energy can flow freely through the meridians in your body to create good health.
