A Father's Day candy gift package is a simple way to give Dad something he will open, eat, and remember, instead of another mug or another pair of socks. At Nantasket Sweets by Swedes, we build gift boxes by hand from Swedish chocolate, fudge, and sea salt caramels, then ship them across the US or have them ready for pickup at our Hull store on Nantasket Beach.
Here is what goes into a good one, what to put inside, and how to order in time.
Why a Father's Day candy gift package beats the usual gifts
Most dads say they don't want anything. Then they quietly work through the whole box. Candy is low-pressure and personal at the same time. You are not guessing his shirt size or his taste in gadgets. You are giving him something to enjoy over a week, or to share with the family after dinner.
A Father's Day candy gift package also travels well. If your dad lives in another state, you can send a box directly to his door. If he is local to the South Shore, you can grab one in person and skip the shipping wait.
What goes into a Nantasket Sweets Father's Day candy gift package
Every box is built from what we make and stock in Hull. A well-rounded Father's Day candy gift package usually mixes a few of these:
- Handmade fudge - classic chocolate, or espresso fudge with dark chocolate sprinkles for the coffee drinkers.
- Sea salt caramels - one of our most-requested items, made from scratch.
- Chocolate turtles, truffles, and pralines - made with Belgian Callebaut and French Valrhona chocolate.
- BUBS and classic Swedish candy - sour, fizzy, and licorice options for dads who like a sharper flavor.
- A local soda or two - from Massachusetts family producers, to round the box out.
You can lean the box sweet or salty, mild or sour, depending on what your dad reaches for first. Prefer something ready to go? The Swede Box Gift Package bundles a chocolate candy bar, a Swedish candy bag, and a Magic Cup of classic Swedish candy in one box, so you can skip the guesswork and still give something handmade.
Better-for-you candy, made by hand in Hull
Nantasket Sweets focuses on better-for-you candy. That means no high-fructose corn syrup, non-GMO ingredients, and natural flavors from fruit and berry juices, with gluten-free and gelatin-free options on the shelf. So if your dad watches what he eats but still has a sweet tooth, there is a box for him.
Everything is made and mixed at 165 Nantasket Ave, Hull, MA, using Swedish recipes and real cane sugar. It is candy you can feel good about handing over. One note for celiac families: some items are labeled gluten-free but made in a facility that also handles wheat, so check the allergen details if that matters for your dad.
