Student wellbeing is at the heart of how we approachyoga teacher training at Power of Now Oasis. People arrive in Bali for many different reasons — a new direction, healing, curiosity, or simply a wish to feel grounded again. Whatever brings someone here, the journey that follows needs space, calm support, and steady guidance. Since 2010, our beachfront bamboo shala has been designed to offer exactly that.

Growing Into a Confident Teacher
The shala’s beachfront setting — beside a calm lagoon with the sound of the sea in the background — shapes the entire experience. Days begin with meditation or pranayama, followed by morning yoga. This rhythm settles the mind before moving into anatomy, philosophy, sequencing, or teaching methodology. A calm learning environment produces steady growth, and steady growth builds the confidence students carry home.
A Support System You Can Rely On
We keep group sizes small — a maximum of twenty students — so teachers have genuine time for each person. Highly experienced lead teachers guide the course, with guest lecturers covering Ayurveda, prenatal yoga, and anatomy. The team stays close to the group throughout, offering support whenever it’s needed. Students from many language backgrounds are welcome, and extra English-language support is always available. Over the years, French, German, Japanese, and many other students have graduated confidently through the Yoga Alliance standard.
When someone feels unsure, we guide them gently. When a student needs more time to practise their teaching, we stay with them. When tiredness or homesickness sets in, we check in and give space. These small, consistent actions help students settle into the training and enjoy the process rather than endure it.
A Strong Community From Day One
A real community forms naturally each month. Students study together, review notes at the café, swim during lunch breaks, and share the simple rhythm of days by the sea. Many graduates return to Bali later — not for a course, but just to reconnect with the feeling they had here. Others stay in contact for years, attending each other’s classes, travelling together, and meeting wherever their paths cross.
Our community extends beyond the school. We support the Sole Family Foundation, which has helped families across Bali for more than a decade. Scholarships bring local Indonesian students into the training alongside international ones, and students consistently say that mix makes the school feel honest and genuinely connected to the island.
Wellness in Every Part of the Training
Wellbeing doesn’t end when class finishes. It continues in the places where students rest, eat, and recharge. Many stay at Kolonial House, a boutique accommodation with a warm, family atmosphere. Others choose Mercure Sanur, a beachfront hotel with calm garden rooms. Both give the quiet space needed after long study days.
Breakfast at the shala supports physical health: fresh fruit, homemade yoghurt, granola, and herbal teas available throughout the day. Students also have access to trusted local healers, Ayurveda consultations, massage therapists, and holistic treatments. Sunset paddles, beach walks, and quiet time for journaling help balance the intensity of full study days. Nothing is forced — students shape their own experience around what feels right for their pace and needs.
Growing Into a Confident Teacher
By graduation, most students describe feeling stronger inside and clearer in their teaching voice. They leave with the confidence to lead classes at home or online, a deeper connection to meditation and breathwork, and a genuine understanding of yoga beyond the physical. The Yoga Alliance structure gives them a recognised certification; the Bali setting gives them something harder to name — a sense of community and a lived experience of why yoga matters.
We guide students through teaching practice, posture clinics, feedback sessions, and personal reflection. The aim is simple: every student should feel prepared and supported the first time they stand in front of a group. Join us in Bali for a month of yoga, genuine community, and wellnessled by teachers who care. The shala is open, the team is ready, and the journey moves at your pace.
