Yes, we are working from home but we are still working, we are still interacting with colleagues, and clients and we still need to be productive and uphold some level of professionalism while doing so. It's not just your professional look, but your personal brand as well. Hopping on calls looking like a mess with friends, family, colleagues, clients, or whoever is on the other end of that call is not going to help anyone take you seriously. You don't want to lose credibility from the first moment your image appears on screen. Instead, you want to look like you care about the communication and the people on the call. It's important to feel confident when working from home as well. This doesn't mean you have to sit at your computer in a suit and tie, or even jeans. However, it's important that you get out of your pjs and old sweats. Here are a few ideas to help you get inspired about your work from home attire. 1. Getting ready for the day is important psychologically
It prepares and sets the tone of our day and it helps us keep a routine. Everyone is experiencing a lot of emotions right now and having a routine creates structure and control in a time when we have very little control of what is happening outside of our homes. Small things like getting ready for the day go a long way in making you feel good about yourself. Whether you are into fashion or not, the clothes you wear make you feel a certain way. Fact, period. This is why you might wear your best blazer when meeting with a new client or going for a job interview. 2. Hair and makeup
Everyday—at least Monday through Friday and ESPECIALLY when hopping on video calls—make a vow to: do your hair and put some makeup on. A little mascara and bronzer go a long way to making you feel good about yourself, and giving you the look you want to show the world, even from behind a screen.

Oversized blazers bring your outfit to another level and are the easiest to work with. They are the perfect go to when hopping on a client call. Throw an oversized blazer over top of your tank and leggings, add a statement necklace or belt it at the waist and you’re set.
4. Comfy, Cozy
The best thing about working from home is that we get to be comfy all day, but comfy doesn’t have to mean messy. Throw on an oversized top, blazer or cardigan over your leggings, add a scarf to accessorize and you’ll be ready to start being productive. Scarves are the coziest accessory and look amazing.
5. Back to Basics
Fresh, clean and crisp—what better way to start your Monday or whatever day this is? You can’t go wrong with a white blouse or button up. Throw on some statement jewels to add some oomph to your zoom call.
6. Conversation Starter
Instead of throwing on that black or white tee, go for some graphics. Have some fun! It will make a world of difference in your mood and your day.
7. Oh You Fancy Huh?
Fancy collars are a fabulous addition for your work from home attire. They are the perfect one stop shop. Add some earrings, fluff up that hair and get ready to close some deals. And since we're focussing on your top half, a statement blouse is a great way to go.
