Which Type of Pressure Vessel Requires an Inspection?

Pressure Vessel Inspection Requirements

The inspector will review the vessel’s documentation, conduct a visual inspection and conduct a hydrostatic test that meets the code’s requirements. This test gives the inspector an idea of how long the vessel will take to build up pressure in the event of a fire or other emergency. The inspector will record the test pressure, the approximate time required to reach this pressure, and any defects that occur during the test.
